On 18 June 2016 more than three hundred people showed their solidarity with the victims of the Orlando shooting by marching in Tauranga. Six days earlier, on 12 June 2016, a gunman shot and killed 49 people and injured 53 others inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, United States. The Orlando police killed the gunman when they stormed the building after a threehour standoff. Photos: Lee Switzer.
