A Māori man standing in front of a wharenui while wearing a korowai (cloak decorated with tassels). He appears to be smiling. Image taken during the filming of the Hei Tiki (1935) film in 1930. Actor unknown. Photographer unknown. It is possible that the photographer could have been Ted Coubrey or Henry Hopecross (both the cameramen for the Hei Tiki 1935 film). Image donated to the Tauranga City libraries by Tim Dalton (antique dealer) from the Margaret Goulding Estate. Image is in public domain. The Hei Tiki Film positives are part of AMS 227.
