DescriptionAs a student of the well known South African artist, Dale Elliot, Michael Sass started painting in 1998 after retirement from a career in business. His preferred medium is pastel on board but he also enjoys oils, carving and resin casting. He became a permanent resident of New Zealand in 2000 and has fallen in love with the beautiful and diverse scenery of the South Island. Michael has developed a technique with pastels that has enabled him to produce the detail that his paintings display.
