The exhibition will take visitor on a journey of discovery of cultures, art and traditions of 10 countries. We will showcase everyday life in rooms of houses, showing some of the items used in kitchen, dining room and traditional costumes, table cloths, dinner sets, as well as pots, pans, cutlery and art.

A history of items displayed will be included on display boards together with photos and art pieces from each country.

Each country will showcase a recipe and a photo of a signature dish of that country- something that is very traditional and embedded in that country's culture and a description of the traditions behind the dish will be included.

The reason for this exhibition is to bring the culture of many immigrants that live now in Tauranga to the attention of residents of our city (Tauranga), be it newcomers or people born here.

We will also have an entire day dedicated to 5 different countries, one at the time, on the long week-end of 26/27 October and the following one 2nd and 3rd November. We will show a cooking demonstration short movie, filmed in Tauranga of the Country of the Day.
