On reverse: '25-2-1910 Dear Mother Just a few lines to let you know we are quite well & that I got parcel. & P. cds last Tuesday. I think the quilt lovely & the cap suits the boy so well. He is walking can go the length of the room. his birthday is on Sunday. Thank you all for thinking of him. I have been very busy this last few weeks making jam & bottling fruit. & changing my bedroom. I have let two rooms. I did not like staying alone. It is a married young couple no family [young crossed out] they are going to stay on when we leave. I expect we will be moving next week. we have a place to go to for a few weeks at Ōropi till D builds a couple of rooms. Will write as soon as I can'.
