Trevor Williams, son of Edward Williams and joined his father’s shipping business in Tauranga as a teenager. Following service in WW2 in the Royal Navy from where he was demobilised as a Lieutenant in 1946, he returned to E.G. Williams & Son who carried freight in the harbour and also took out fishing trips.
