DescriptionSCRAPBOOKING(A decorative photo album)
If you have always wanted to learn scrapbooking or are just wanting something different to do, then this is the place to come as we have a huge array of tools, equipment, consumables etc for everyone to use which keeps the cost of scrapbooking to a minimum. This is a great opportunity as scrapbooking has the potential to become an expensive hobby but with tools available for use every week, there is no need to puchase your own. Added Bonus - Every new woman who joins our group to learn scrapbooking will be given, FREE OF CHARGE, a starter pack including your first album to store your new creations in.
CARD-MAKING
Lots of equipment available for use (as above)
SEWING LESSONS
We have brand new sewing machines sponsered by Southern Trust from Bernina available for use and a very talented sewing teacher donating her time to teach anyone who is interested. So, if sewing is something you would like to learn then come along and for only $5 a day you have the opportunity to learn to sew and can make some beautiful things to show off to your friends and family. Andrea, our sewing teacher, has kits available for you to purchase OR will help you with your own project and the materials you need to bring.
CROCHET/KNITTING
Several ladies have learnt to sew/knit whilst at Simplee Cre8ive and are currently making these funky scarves to keep warm during the winter months and doing scrumbles which can be made into things like this amazing bag.
QUILLING
Some ladies do quilling. Here are some examples of what they have made. If you want to give it a go then come along and try for yourself.
PARCHMENT CRAFT (Paper lace-making)
Yet another skill to learn to add to your cardmaking or scrapbooking
Parchment Craft, also known as Pergamano, is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper (or vellum paper) through the use of techniques such as: embossing, perforating, stippling, cutting and coloring.
Parchment Craft has been predominately used in the making of cards (religious devotional cards, greeting cards and gift cards) but the techniques are being applied to related items such as bookmarks and picture frames as well as 3-dimensional sculptural paper projects such as ornaments and boxes
MOSAIC
Mosaic is another fun thing to do. One of our ladies is currently mosaicing a tissue box for each of the rooms in her house. Another has mosaic'd a whole lot of tiles for her path leading up to the house. Mosaic can be don for inside and outside on tiles, wood etc and several different materials can be used like broken tiles, glass, crockery etc.
PAINTING
We have a few artists in the group who have done some amazing work. (See photos)
