SummaryMany artists have problems promoting themselves and their work. They often find the essential marketing of themselves and what they do is an awkward and onerous task. Main BodyIt is for this reason that two very creative Tauranga identities, architect Steven Chambers and sculptor Nic Clegg, have started a new, much needed venture named The Art Clinic.
Most artists are completely absorbed by the creative process and many of them have very little experience of running a business and don't even view their artwork and art practice as a business.
Despite their unique creative talents, many artists struggle to earn from their art because they lack the tools, knowledge and marketing experience.
Through a series of seminars and workshops Steven and Nic will provide artists with a greater understanding of how to run their art practice as a successful business.
The Art Clinic's first seminar "How To Market Art', provides a framework for artists to plan their business more strategically and teaches artists how to develop and implement a marketing plan. An important part of this seminar will show artists how to promote their work more effectively.
