She is walking down a pathway at the entrance of the Pā in the scene. Ngawara is from Te Arawa and was 16 years old at the time this image was taken in 1930. Photographer unknown. It is possible that the photographer could have been Ted Coubrey or Henry Hopecross (both the cameramen for the Hei Tiki 1935 film). Image donated to the Tauranga City libraries by Tim Dalton (antique dealer) from the Margaret Goulding Estate. Image is in public domain. The Hei Tiki Film positives are part of AMS 227. Production NotesAMS 227 (box 381), within an envelope dated 8 April 1981, handwritten on reverse "Henrey Hopecross", with a Taupo address. Also "Cameramen George & Grant (Auck..)" and "Juli Streetcher (?)" and "Jeff Steven".
