Attended Whitiora School and Hamilton Technical College. Became a dentist's assistant. Married Charles Walter Tootell, one daughter Lesley Anne. Lived at Stanley Point; then Epsom, Auckland; Moved to Hamilton 1965 to nurse her mother Ruby. After Ruby's death in 1966 she continued to live with Vonnie at Ulster St, and later for 25 years at Cardrona Avenue. Gwen died while on holiday in Rotorua 10.01.1990. Nan of Jane and Rory."
