Compiled by Arthur Washington Burrows, addressed to His Worship the Mayor and Councillors Borough of Tauranga, the five page handwritten report, outlines plans and costs for a water supply for Tauranga.
Includes preliminary surveys from 1882, noting relevant streams, water tables and geology.
Discusses bringing water from the Waihoroi River (Waiorohi Stream, Oropi?). Mention made of the Harakeke Stream, a tributary of the Waihoroi River.
Two page addenda has a schedule of lands, including Alienated lands. This list includes Native owners [Sec. 533.102] and Native reserve [Sec. 534.300].
