Date2013DescriptionThis 1300 × 600 × 400 centimetre stone frieze depicts the release of the penguins who survived the Rena Disaster in 2011. It was unveiled at the Main Beach in Mount Maunganui on 5 October 2013. In this photograph sculptor Rex O'Brien helps guide the sculpture into place during installation.
