The morning light falling over the Port Hills in Christchurch created beautiful golden, pink and blue hues. Looking down towards Sumner and South Shore, this painting shows a view now sadly dramatically altered by the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. Photograph: Pete Morris (2013).
