Date2007DescriptionTauranga historian, archivist and librarian, Jinty Rorke (QSM), arrived in New Zealand with her family on board the yacht 'Palantir' in 1976. On 6 December 2007 Jinty retired from the Tauranga City Library after 27 years of service, but continued with historical research and writing, knitting and needlepoint, as well as trying to tame her subtropical garden at Dysart Road in Ōtūmoetai.
