Date2014DescriptionBrian Walters proudly shows photo and medals of his father. No 62468; Private Stanley Charles Walters at the 2014 gathering of children of WWI Veterans at the Mount Maunganui RSA (July 13). Private Walters was a Lewis Gunner with the 13th Canterbury Infantry Regiment (NZ). He was badly wounded on the Somme after 8 months of fighting (1917/1918).
