Date27 December 1974Reference Numberphoto gcc-31398DescriptionThe 1416 deadweight ton-bulk cement carrier Golden Bay visited Tauranga for the first time this week. She discharged cement at the Wilson (New Zealand Portland Cement Company depot - a job which is usually handled by the 4000 deadweight ton carrier Cement King. The Cement King has not been on the New Zealand coast for very long and she has fallen slightly behind schedule, said a spokesman for the company Mr J. W. Morrissey. The Golden Bay works out of Golden Bay in the South Island and she may make one more visit in a day or two, to help supplement the Cement King.
