Fantail Lodge moments in history
Charles Grainger purchased 161 acres on Rea Road, with Government assistance, on his return from overseas service in 18th Battalion during World War II. In the late 1970s his daughter, artist Elizabeth Kyle (nee Grainger), 'had a vision of Fantail Lodge', and architect Greg Vindriss drew plans, and the first guest bedroom was opened.
Harrie Geraerts and his wife purchased Fantail Lodge in 1991, and in 1998 began plans for luxury villas onsite, with construction work in 2010.Main Body
