Politics: Stood for the Values Party in Tauranga in 1975 as a 38-year-old. Elected as a Tauranga City Councillor for the 1977-1980 term. Co-founded the New Economics Party in 2011, which renamed in 2015 to the New Economics Movement. Involvement with Alliance and the Green Party.
