Farming: Farmed in Manawatū, Kairanga district for 32 years, and the last 25 years of his life on 200 acres at Ohinepanea, 8 miles from Te Puke. He was 'a successful exhibitor of live stock at agricultural shows'.
Organisations: Bay of Plenty Development League, Tauranga Harbour Board, Tauranga Hospital Board.
He travelled to Wellington in 1917 'in connection with the Tauranga Harbour Board Bill, and assisting its passage through committee in Parliament.'
