The couple purchased the Omokoroa property from Reverend Joseph Tice Gellibrand in 1880.
He died on the 31 August 1928. Survived by his children: Arthur Arundel, Sidney Tice, Walter Howard, Lena Louise, Rosa Inez, Cyril Everest, Annie Josephine, and Gerald Vivian.
