SummaryIrish-born civil engineer and Katikati settler. Son of artist Thomas James Mulvany and Mary Field; married Ellen McNamara. Worked in Ireland and Germany, including in mining enterprises associated with his brother William Thomas Mulvany. Emigrated with his family aboard the Lady Jocelyn in 1878 as part of George Vesey Stewart’s second Katikati settlement. Lived at Bay View, Kauri Point; established an apiary and served on the Katikati School Committee.
