Date30th July 1864DescriptionTranscript of Letter from Captain John Hobart Culme Seymour (later Brevet Major) written to his father dated 30th July 1864 in response to a letter he received from his father dated 19th May 1864.
His correspondence was written at the conclusion of the wars in Tauranga and writes about the surrender of arms by Ngāiterangi and writes at length about the encounters with Māori warriors during the skirmishes of Te Ranga.
