James Meagher, a driver for New Zealand railways, who was lent to the Public Works Department, drove the frist train over the bridge. Same as 99-724, In pencil on back: Dear Elsie, This is a view taken the day they drove the last rivet. Will was somewhere among the crowd. There was an aeroplane over the Mount yesterday doing trips from the Mount with passengers. we could see the Plane from our Place we haven't been to the Mount yet, been busy getting settled up here not finished yet. ask Carrie when you see her if she is still going to Town after Easter, what she wants for her Gig & Harness, we could do with one done here. & Will could help to Pay for it, as he has to Pay 15/- every time he gets one from the Stable & was out about twice a week last month.
