Main BodyThe Tauranga Regional Multicultural Council committee worked hard to bring to Tauranga a colourful selection of authentic performances, art and crafts and food from around the world. This year a number of newcomers to the festival made their debut, which delighted Tauranga crowds with cultural expressions from countries like Nepal, France, South America, the Pacific Islands and many others.
Children were delighted by magicians, stilt walkers and fairies. They had their faces painted and then stuffed them with ice creams and candy floss. Watch video of the festival taken by Councilor Murray Guy.
Spot prizes were given out to the lucky few by Mai radio , including 1000 cash from the main sponsor, the ANZ bank.
