Noted with file "Known as Viv. Son of Alice and Edward Morrow. Born in 1883 in Auckland. Married Ruby Mundy probably in 1915. They lived in Hamilton where he owned a taxi business and for a time, worked as a surveyor. He had 3 daughters, Yvonne, Gwen and Alison; and was grandfather (Da) of Annie, Heather and Neville. He was a prolific story teller and kept his daughters and grandchildren entertained with wondrous tales of make believe and magic and splendour. He liked a flutter at the TAB, enjoyed a game of Cribbage with old friends, was a keen gardener, loved his chooks, and in his retirement his great enjoyment were frequent excursions through the back gate and across a field to check out the most recent arrivals at the city tip, from where he collected endless "treasures". He was a man of great patience and kindness - one of life's gentlemen. He died at the age of 73 in 1956".
