Reminiscences of a Rugby Game
A rugby game of notewas the occasion when theMount travelled with CharlieMiller to play Papamoa Maori. The result of the game endedin dispute. The first half ofthe seven aside battle wasrefereed by the Papamoaschoolmaster and the secondhalf by Charlie Miller. With the sore at 3 all, Cliff Buchanan towards the end of the game dropped a goal which Charlie signalled as over. The first half Ref. charged onto the field disputing the decision and we left with Papamoa still arguing the result.
