Main BodyMigration according to me can be bifurcated into two major aspects. One is in search for a better option and Second is for adventure.
In the first category migrants are people who leave their birth place in order to find better living and working conditions elsewhere. This type of migration mainly occurs from developing to developed countries.Second type of migrants, I would prefer to call them explorers like the good old days, they are like Christopher Columbus or Captain Cook, who travelled around the world seeking new cultures and adventure in life.
We fall into second category of migrants, we had a comfortable life and a good social environment back in India, but we decided to move out to seek new cultures and get thrill in new environments. We, means my husband, son and also my mother in law, made a conscious choice to move to NZ from a range of options like US, Australia or Canada. The reason to opt for New Zealand was to have a lifestyle change after having a very hectic professional life in India. My husband and I were a widely travelled couple, having visited most of the continents and getting a first hand experience of different cultures. Middle Eastern, European, Russian and Yankee culture. We decided to move to New Zealand because after doing lots of research we found out that NZ would offer us the best of the laid back lifestyle and beautiful environment. First time landing in NZ was a beautiful experience, we were really impressed by the natural beauty of this country, despite having seen few of the worlds most beautiful places like, Canadian Rockies and Aspen.
We knew that getting job suitable to our qualifications would be difficult to get, so right from beginning we made conscious decision to get in to our own business. We bought a dairy in Tauranga after scouting few options and places. We really like Tauranga and have been happily living here since 6 years.
