Two Years On (2013)
Well-known local artist Peter Cramond has brought together a group of fellow artists from our area to present an exhibition that reflects on the disaster and the events that followed the 5th of October 2011 tragedy.
The artworks will explore the idea that our actions directly impact on our environment and this has far reaching consequences for the welfare of our marine ecosystems and the future of our planet.
Different physical, emotional and spiritual responses of the artists following the event are to be seen in the many works on display.
It is important for everyone involved to discuss and process the experience as part of the healing process.
Hopefully many of those who were involved will come along to the exhibition to share memories and rekindle friendships.
A percentage of any sales will go to a yet to be announced environmentally motivated cause.
Two years on we have witnessed a return to the health of marine life and a gradual healing of the environment.
The exhibition will feature work by this diverse group of talented artists:
Heidi Borchardt
Dan Couper
Nic Clegg
Peter Cramond
Owen Dippie
