Margaret (Peg) Gresham, born 1905, was the daughter of John William Stewart and Jessie Murray and she married Frank Gordon Gresham. They lived in Seaview Road for many years and Frank, a mechanic, had a garage on the corner of First Avenue and Devonport Road. Peg remembered the fire that destroyed the Tauranga Hotel in 1935.
