Arthur Honeyfield was born in 1903 to Mary and Charles Honeyfield. Arthur married Edith Scheele in 1938 and they had two children. Honeyfield was successful in many fields including establishing the second commercial planting of avocados in New Zealand. During WW2 he organised the supply of food to 400,000 American servicemen in the Pacific.
