The unit recorded 66 interviews in three years. This interview with Mr Eric Lees Faulkner is one of these. It was recorded at his home in Tauranga. Eric Faulkner was a grandson of early Tauranga trader and settler John Lees Faulkner and his second wife Elizabeth Humphries. He was the son of Arthur Lees and Gladys Faulkner. On returning from WW2 he entered the grocery trade and founded the New World Supermarket in Cameron Road. He was a prominent sportsman including yachting and shooting.
