The unit recorded 66 interviews in three years. This interview with David Boyd (Joe) is one of these. It was recorded at his home in Mount Maunganui. The length of the recording is 43:03 minutes.

Joe Boyd was a former employee of Beazley Homes which was based at Mount Maunganui from the 1950s to the 1970s. The founder was Fred Beazley who died in 1975.
