World War One Postcard (1916) from Cedric Graham

Cedric Kenny Onslow Graham was born in Hamilton on the 21st December 1889, the 10th child of parents William Australia Graham and Alice Graham. He died leading his men "over the top" near the French town of Flers on 16 September 1916.

Dear Hilda

Sorry I have not been able to write you a few lines before I leave for the line by the afternoon train today but I trust this rather rough p.c of myself will do instead. It was taken in this base depot camp a couple of days after my arrival so you will observe that I am in topping health and spirits. I have tons of confidence & am sure of returning in good time to good old N.Z. Hope all is well with you, all is very well with me. Your loving brother. Cedric K Graham.
