Date5 February 2021Reference NumberPhoto 21-217DescriptionTaken from 1 Williams Street in Tauranga, February 2021. Local retiree Rodney Giddens began an undertaking to provide a photographic record of shop fronts from the roadside of Tauranga's CBD in 2015 and 2016. Though initially interested in capturing Art Deco buildings, he ended up photographing other buildings as well.
This single storied bungalow has a large dormer extrusion larger than just a window. It suggests an addition to make use of the ceiling space of a high gable. The ground floor is mostly obscured by a high hedge but there appears to be a pillared porch reminiscent of a 1920s bungalow. There is no noticeable change in 2021 from the 2015 image.FormatDigitalPhotographer/CreatorGiddens, RodneySourcesvisual check from street 2021
