Local retiree Rodney Giddens began an undertaking to provide a photographic record of shop fronts from the roadside of Tauranga's CBD in 2015 and 2016. Though initially interested in capturing Art Deco buildings, he ended up photographing other buildings as well.

A two-storied dwelling with brick and weatherboard on the ground floor and corrugated iron cladding the upper floor. The ground floor may date from the 1970s and as iron is a more modern cladding it may indicate that the upper level has been added more recently, perhaps to gain a view of the estuary.
