Local retiree Rodney Giddens began an undertaking to provide a photographic record of shop fronts from the roadside of Tauranga's CBD in 2015 and 2016. Though initially interested in capturing Art Deco buildings, he ended up photographing other buildings as well.
A Spanish Mission/Deco cottage with plastered cladding. the single storied building has a square facade with a raised rectangular corners. The building is decorated with white painted stucco with two bars below the facade in plain plaster painted light blue. Above the front windows is a pelmet style top with terracotta coping tiles also painted blue. On the roof is a weather vane with a rooster. The house is on the east side of the street.
