DescriptionCollection comprises:

Photocopy of a typescript of the shipboard diary of John Wilson on the "Cashmere", 8 December 1861 to 7 April 1862. He was responsible for 125 birds being imported into New Zealand.

Typescript copies of articles on the importation: Southern Cross, 18 April 1862; Auckland Star, 23 September 1920.
