Reference Number1972.0036DescriptionCopy of a photograph of 'The Headmaster's House', now known as Kinder House, with 2 figures at the window, glazed and in a gold coloured metal frame. The photograph was taken between 1857, when the house was completed, and 1872, when Kinder resigned as Headmaster of The Church of England Grammar School in Parnell, Auckland. The backing of the frame has come loose and the photograph was able to be removed, written on the back of the photograph is: "St. John's College Auckland". On the back of the picture is an A.N.Brown Collection sticker.. The original of this photograph is in the collection of Kinder House in Auckland.Physical DescriptionArt.
