Reference Number1972.0361DescriptionLeather bound photograph album with a brown leather cover. The leather is bevelled and decorated with a geometric pattern on both front and back, in gold and black. The card pages are edged with gilt, with oval shaped spaces for the photographs to be inserted. There is a brass clip on the side of each cover that closes over the edges of the pages. The album contains photographs, predominantly carte-de-visites, as listed in section 11 of 3A The Complete Catalogue of the A. N. Brown collection, (working copy). There have been quite a few changes to this album since 1972, with photographs missing, moved and new ones added. The 79 photographs in the album, were not independently catalogued at this skeleton cataloguing stage stage, but this should be done.
