Written in black ink on the back of the card is: "Arthur Whitmore Norton - Aged five years Febry 4th 1864 - Received Septr 5th 1864". The carte-de-visite was found inside the case of 2008.0021, and it is likely that Arthur is the son of Henry Norton as he only has one child, a son.. Although not recorded in The Elms Trust receipt book, it is likely this item was donated by Miss. G.
