Reference Number1935.0016DescriptionA tinted and framed copy of a photograph of Archdeacon Brown. The copy shows Brown sitting at a table with an open book, and is under glass in a gilt and imitation marble frame. On the cardboard backing of the picture is written in ballpoint: "This picture cleaned and remounted by Harrison's Gallery Tga 3.5.89 $7". The picture is hung with two metal rings one on each side of the frame. During cleaning the orignal hanging mechanism was removed as it did not appear safe, and it was replaced with screw in metal eyelets. The hanging mechanism along with the original nails holding the picture backing in place were removed and placed in a bag in Box 1 in the office. On the back of the photograph is stamped: "Universal Copying Co. - 1436 & 1438 Market Street, between 8th and 9th San Francisco CAL."Physical DescriptionArt. Picture
