Written in pencil in the lower left proper corner on this line is: 'Mangawhare'. 06/04/2010: Found an article cut from the Bay of Plenty Times dated March 25, 1986, titled: "House on the Hill - is old city landmark". The article talked about the house shown in this photograph, built in Tauranga, in 1878 and originally named Woodhill, it was renamed Maungawhare, or house on the hill, when sold by the owner Henry Brabant, to his brother H.W.
