Reference Number2008.0011DescriptionA carte-de-visite with a photograph of an unidentified soldier adhered to it. The photograph appears to have been taken in the latter half of the 19th century, and the soldier is an officer dressed in a knee-length coat with medals, and regimental belt, holding a cap in his right hand and a sword in his left. The photograph has sepia tones and a white border of card around the outside. On the back of the card is printed in red: "GALLERY OF PHOTOGRAPHY - SYDNEY - Pirrsman (?) Brs.". Could this be Captain William Nevell, it was found with other Nevell family material.Physical DescriptionDocumentary Artifact. Carte-de-visite.
