Photograph of Devonport Road number 38. Various signs can be made out, including “1932”, “Teasey's”, “Repertoire” and “Adzano”.
The garage was built c1932 for Harry Joseph Teasey's car repair business. He was one of the sons of William Thomas Teasey who later had the Teaseys Building next door built for him. Teasey senior had arrived from Ireland and worked as a draper. Harry Teasey's mother was Ada the eldest daughter of Joseph and Kate Brain. East side of the road.
