Two-storied masonry building erected in 1906 to replace wooden building destroyed by fire. Included Post Office, Borough Council, Courthouse & government departments. It was used until 1938. Strengthened and refurbished as a commercial building in early 2000s. Included a small Post Office museum but objects are now at the Tauranga Heritage Collection.From 2019 The Clarence Hotel.
