Description8 Selwyn Street, CBD, Tauranga. Council records indicate it was built in 1938. Spanish Mission/Art Deco in style. Photograph taken in 2016 by Giddens, Rodney and given to the Tauranga Library in 2018.
A Spanish Mission/Deco cottage with plastered cladding. the single storied building has a square facade with a raised rectangular corners. The building is decorated with white painted stucco with two bars below the facade in plain plaster painted light blue. Above the front windows is a pelmet style top with terracotta coping tiles also painted blue. On the roof is a weather vane with a rooster. The house is on the east side of the street. 2022.
