the two storied building began as J Mann's Bond Store close to the wharves in 1883. 1908 Guinness family took over selling hardware, agricultural machinery and later home appliances. in 1986 Hughes & Cossar wine merchants took over. Since 1997 there has been a function room on the ground floor with Weekend Sun newspaper upstairs. A glass conservatory type addition was made in the 1990s.
