The fountain remains but glass clad building, former Westpac is due for demolition. The original two storied building, The Triangle was Norris & Bell auctioneers where Devonport Road, Spring Street and The Strand met. Built in 1911. In 1970 the ground floor business was Judd Radio & TV. The Bay of Plenty Savings Bank was established in 1964 and in 1986 became Trustbank who built present building.
