DescriptionCollection comprises:

Ams 415/1: Miscellaneous documents including: scrapbooks, diaries, letters, accounts, passports; notes on cars that Mr Deverell owned, and pottery, and on Somervale rest home residents (who’s leaving, who’s new, etc.).

Ams 415/2: Photographs and negatives

Ams 415/3: Photographs and negatives: colour and black and white, many have notes, dates and names written on the back by Mr Deverell

Ams 415/4: Pottery photographs, 1970s-1980s, showing finished pots, firing of pots, potters’ groups, etc. Also contains notes and correspondence about pottery

Ams 415/6: Framed photographs

Stanley Deverell was born in Waihī in 1906. He was a keen amateur potter and a member of the Bethlehem Pottery Club. In the last part of his life he lived in the Somervale rest home at Mount Maunganui.

Mollie Mune, sister of Stanley, is included in some of the photographs.
