Nathan Goldwater (1835-1924) was a Polish-born Jewish trader who was for many years in partnership with Bernhardt Levy. They arrived in New Zealand from England together in 1857 on the Anne Longton, with their respective wives Caroline and Julia, and first settled in Auckland. They were to return and spend the rest of their lives there, but they also operated on The Strand in Tauranga for a short time during the land wars, and in Opotiki.CreatorGoldwater, GretchenLevelCollectionLanguageEnglish
